Kern has been a lecturer in Clemson University’s Department of Graphic Communications since 2012. He teaches undergraduate-level courses on all major printing processes, electronic prepress, package printing technologies, and color management. Kern has ten years of experience in professional education development and has provided various training and R&D services through Clemson University’s Printing and Converting Research Center, as well as through Clemson University’s Sonoco Institute of Packaging Design and Graphics. Kern has served the post print corrugated segment, narrow web and wide web flexographic market segments, and the offset lithography market segment.
